Einladung / Invitation Passagen 19. -24.01.2004
Sie sind herzlich eingeladen, im Rahmen der diesjährigen PASSAGEN, mit dem
studio MiR auf Deutschlandreise zu gehen. Es werden Arbeiten zum Thema
Farbwechsel, Stimmungsumschwung und Zeitverlauf gezeigt.
Wir erwarten Sie in der Galerie Rivet, Jülicher Straße 27, 50674 Köln,
täglich von 14.00 - 21.00 Uhr.
In the course of this year’s PASSAGEN you are kindly welcome to join
studio MiR in the Deutschlandreise (trip around Germany). Our new works deal
with the subjects colour change, change of mood and variation in time.
We expect you at the Gallery Rivet, Jülicher Straße 27, 50674 Köln, every
day from 14.00 - 21.00 o’clock .

Make yourself at home!
(table / chair / bench / wallpaper)
'Home' is the place upon which you impressed your personality.
"Make yourself at home": don't hesitate to leave your 'fingerprints' on the furniture. The particular surface coating of wall-paper, chair and table absorbs traces of everyday use.
Material: steel powder-coated

"Slippery when wet" (bench / chair)
Water changes the colour.
Raindrops leave 'watermarks' on the bench and change its colour from white
to blue.
A white bench is dry, a blue one is wet.
Watch the colour before sitting down!

RGB_two
(night table / sideboard / coffee table)
Light and mood interact
Light changes your mood and every mood wants a different light. As the
colour influences your mood the RGB_two lamp let your mood influence the
light – simply by moving the lampshade.
»quadratime« offers you to realize the time not as a straight line from the past to the future.
It shows you an open System, the time as a permanent existing dimension represented by the square. Marked (inverse color) is only the »now« were we all live in.
In this case time does not fluctuate, it is only humankind who is passing it through.

(Tisch / Stuhl / Bank / Tapete)
Nur ein gelebter Raum wird ein Zuhause. "Fühl dich wie Zuhause": Hinterlass deine Spuren. Die Oberflächenbeschichtung von Tapete, Tisch und Stühlen ist so beschaffen, dass sich Gebrauchspuren leicht abzeichnen.
Material: Stahl pulverbeschichtet
und Speziallackierung
"Slippery when wet" (Bank und Stuhl)
Wasser verändert die Farbe.
Regentropfen hinterlassen ihre Spuren und färben die weiße Bank blau.
Eine weiße Bank ist trocken, eine blaue ist nass.
Erst die Farbe checken und dann hinsetzen!

RGB_two
(Nachttisch / Sideboard / Couchtisch)
Licht und Stimmung beeinflussen sich
Jedes Licht verändert Ihre Stimmung und jede Stimmung verlangt ein anderes Licht. So wie das Licht Ihre Stimmung beeinflusst, können Sie mit RGB_two, je nach Stimmung das Licht beeinflussen: ganz einfach, nur durch Verrücken des Lampenschirms.
»quadratime« eröffnet die Möglichkeit Zeit nicht nur als Gerade zwischen
Vergangenheit und Zukunft wahrzu-nehmen.
Vielmehr wird ein offenes System etabliert, welches Zeit als permanent existierende Dimension begreift.
Dargestellt wird die Zeit als Quadrat in dem jeweils das »Jetzt« markiert ist (Invertierte Farbigkeit).
So gesehen, ist es nicht die Zeit die ver-geht,es sind nur die Menschen, die sie durchwandern. (Die Animation zeigt beispielhaft einen Tag)
